ZYGO has developed a large variety of coatings to support our optical fabrication, in addition to supporting requirements for coating customer supplied substrates. Our coating capacities extend to 760mm diameter for wavelengths from UV (248 nanometers) to the MWIR (3-5 micron) on substrates such as fused silica, sapphire, Cleartran, and silicon. ZYGO offers coating solutions for anti-reflective, high reflector, beam combiner coatings, and beamsplitter for both polarizing and non-polarizing coatings.

The coating chambers use ion assisted electron beam evaporation for the ultimate in flexibility for coating high reflectors for high power lasers and broad band AR coatings for commercial and military applications. Polarization control is a specialty consisting of high extinction ratio polarizers as well as flat response non-polarizing beamsplitters. ZYGO can custom design coating solutions for your application. In addition ZYGO has also developed coatings for high laser damage thresholds, for use in conjunction with our proprietary optical fabrication processes to meet the growing demand for high fluence optics. ZYGO has recently added sputtering capability which has helped to realize high quality transparent conductive coatings with resistivity of <30 ohm/sq.
