MIDDLEFIELD, CONNECTICUT (December 8, 1997)......Zygo Corporation (NASDAQ:ZIGO) announced today that its Sight Systems unit, acquired in August 1997, has already begun to win substantial business from new customers in the data storage industry. Commenting on the integration of Sight Systems, David Grant, president of the Newbury Park, California, business unit, said, "The acquisition by ZYGO has allowed us to deepen our penetration in the data storage industry with existing technology for both existing and new applications. We have added three major new accounts to our customer base since September 1, receiving orders for application-specific vision metrology systems solving yield management problems in production."
